Notes
  • Experiment
Linkage of Si-s with Si-r on Chromosome 3 was determined by the analysis of 56 F2 male mice derived from an incross between (CBA/CaJ x SJL/J)F1 mice. 12 of the F2 mice expressing low or intermediate sucrase activity may be Si-s and Si-r recombinants or may have resulted from the inclusion of part of the duodenum into the assay. Thus it is possible that Si-r and Si-s did not recombine within the F2 progeny. Overall 77% of the variance in sucrase activity is explained by a genetic factor (Si-r) associated with Si-s.
