Hoxd Southern analysis cosB
Notes
  • Reference
Revised gene symbol: Hoxd (formerly Hox-4 and Hox-5).
  • Experiment
Evx-2 cDNA probes from the 3' and 5' ends were hybridized to digests of cos B, a cosmid containing the posterior portion of Hoxd. The 5' probe gave a clear signal. Further sequencing experiments showed that Evx-2 and Hoxd are transcribed in opposite directions. The distance between Evx-2 and Hoxd13 on the physical map is about 10kb, but the full coding sequences may be much closer or even overlap.
