  Comparisons of deletions in the Tcrb-V region of SJL, WLA and DDO mice indicate that Tcrb-V20 is located between Tcrb-V19 and Tcrb-V3. The Tcrb-V20 probe hybridized to BALB/c cosmid clones D18 and D6 which span the region of Tcrb-V19 and Tcrb-V3. Furtherrestriction map analysis of these cosmids show the order of these loci to be Tcrb-V19, Tcrb-V20, Tcrb-V17, Tcrb-V3, with Tcrb-V20 sharing a common 8kb BamHI and 11kb KpnI fragment with Tcrb-V17. Physical mapping using PCR products generated from Tcrb-V17and Tcrb-V20 specific primers demonstrated that these loci are less than 2.5kb apart and transcribed in the same polarity.
