Revised gene symbol: Aat (formerly Pre-1).
  • Experiment
Southern analysis of the BALB/c congenic strain C4W, carrying the Mus mus molossinus (Japan) Fv4 allele, was used to map Mtv9 to Chromosome 12. C4W was found to carry the M. m. molossinus alleles for the genes Mtv9 and Serpina1 as well as for the gene Fv4 indicating that these loci are linked together. C4W carries the BALB/c host strain Igh indicating that this locus is outside the segment transferred during construction of the C4W congenic.
