  • Experiment
The locus for gene Wnt-3 was determined to be on mouse Chromosome 11 by analysis of somatic hybrids between mouse and Chinese hamster cells using Wnt-3 probe pBG14. This assignment was confirmed using backcross animals between C57BL/6J and Mus spretus inwhich Wnt-3 was located 4.2 cM distal of gene cluster (Csfg-Erba-Erbb-2) and 4.9 cM distal from Hoxb. Data was not provided for either the somatic hybrids or the backcross.
