  • Experiment
    (DBA/2J cha/cha X CAST/Ei) cha/+ F1 mice were intercrossed to map the cha locus with markers in mouse Chromosome 9. A genomic scan of pooled DNA showed an association of the cha phenotype in affected mice with chromosome 9 marker D9Mit17. Further haplotype analysis showed cha to map between D9Mit183 and D9Mit121, within a region defined by D9Mit24 and D9Mit78.
