Notes
  • Experiment
F2 and N2 crosses involving strains 129S1/SvImJ (129) and CAST/Ei and C57Bl/6 mice were informative in mapping the audiogenic seizure susceptibility gene jams1 to mouse Chromosome 10. Genetic analysis of recombinants located the jams1 locus to an 1.6 cM
area between basigin (Bsg) and marker D10Mit140. Marker D10Mit22 cosegrregated with jams1 in ~1100 meioses. The proximal border of the interval was defined Bsg and D10Mit22, whereas the distal boundary was defined by D10Mit140. jams1 cosegregates with marker D10Mit228 in the intraspecific F2 cross.
