  The authors also indicated that mutants Obt, Todo, Dz, Mt, Cyn, Edy, and Lda all share similar phenotypes, a similar chromosome region and therefore are likely to be allelic.
• Experiment
  The Mutant phenotype Cyn originated on a BALB/cOlaHsd male background and was maintained with crosses to C3H/HeN. The mice used in mapping were from a mixture of the N2, N3 and N4 generations. Importunately the BALB/c chromosome segments that contained the mutant phenotype were informative for mapping. The authors also indicated that mutants Obt, Todo, Dz, Mt, Cyn, Edy, and Lda all share similar phenotypes, a similar chromosome region and therefore are likely to be allelic.Offspring types indicate alleles inherited from F1 parent.
