  RFLP analysis with a (129/J x B10)F1 x 129/J backcross panel indicated that the 1163 cDNA colocalized and cosegregated with H47 on mouse Chromosome 7. The cDNA maps 0.9 cM +/- 0.6 cM distal to the pink eye dilution locus, p, and 12.3 cM proximal to the albino locus, Tyr^c.
