Notes
  • Experiment
The transcriptional cassette, which makes up the Gnas locus on mouse Chromosome 2 include Nesp, Gnasxl and Gnas. Gnasxl lies 30kb upstream from Gnas and 15kb separate Gnas and Gnasxl and are within exon 2 of Gnas. Moreover the genomic segments within the Gnas region are imprinted. In a further refinement of this region another imprinted antisense gene of Nsep was found. This gene Gnas as is expressed from the paternal allele.
