• Experiment
  Expressions profiles indicated that mouse Chromosome 6 marker Snca was not expressed in BL6JHUK mice, whereas expression was seen in ICR, 129/Ola, C57BL/6J, C57BL/6(Harlan) strains. The authors used PCR to show that Snca was within a section of mouse Chromosome 6 deleted by Del(6)Snca in BL6JHUK mice. In addition Neurod6, D6Mit122, Atoh1 and D6Mit299 were not included in the deletion. Mouse STS marker D6Mit357 was included in the deletion and was determined by sequence to be located between exons 4 and 5 of Snca.
