Notes
  • Experiment
The authors built a mapping population by crossing homozygous recessive cataract males (albino MH) to homozygous dominant wild-type females (black, C57BL/6J). The resulting wild-type heterozygous F1 females were backcrossed to albino MH males with cataracts. Analysis of the genotype data placed the mutation on Chromosome 7. The recombination percentage between the markers was determined to be : D7Mit340 - 17.1 +/- 2.1 - jrc - 3.7 +/- 1.1 - D7Mit227 - 5.6 +/- 1.3 - D7Mit270 - 23.6 +/- 2.4 - Tyr.
