Notes
  • Experiment
Authors analyzed YAC, BAC and P1 overlapping clones to physically map the scrambler phenotype region of mouse Chromosome 4. The Dab1 locus was identified as the gene associated with the scambler (scm) and yotari (yot) mutations through expression, directsequencing, and PCR analysis. The following order of loci was reported: D4Mit219 - D4Mit155 - Lepr - Iapls3-10 - Dab1scm - Dab1yot - Ak3 - D4Mit176 - D4Mit304. The iapls3-10 sequence is present in an intron of Dab1.
