  Authors show that the genetic nonrecombinant region that includes Lc contains 3 exons of Grid2. By direct sequencing and SSCP analysis using Grid2 genomic clones it was shown that the structural locus that defines the Lurcher (Lc) phenotype is Grid2 on mouse Chromosome 6.
