Image
Caption At E8.5, Kctd5em1(IMPC)J/Kctd5em1(IMPC)J (Kctd5-/-) embryos are mainly normal. A minority display abnormal head shape, abnormal YS, abnormal heart or are delayed. By E9.5 Kctd5-/- embryos display slight epicardial edema, enlarged hearts and incomplete turning. Branchial arch defects are also noted in a majority, but likely related to the abnormal hearts. A minority of embryos display partially open posterior cranial neural tube and some have yolk sac vascularization defects. By E10.5 all Kctd5-/- are dying or resorbed with enlarged hearts.
