Hematoxylin and eosin stained testis sections showing a normal appearance and organization in the Kit^Mhdasco1/Kit^Mhdasco1, Kit^Whc1/Kit^Whc1 and Kit^Mhdasco5/Kit^Mhdasco5 mutants. On the contrary, the seminferous tubules of the Kit^Mhdasow3/Kit^Mhdasow3 adult mutant mouse are lacunar with a complete absence of all the layers coresponding to the differentiation of spermatogonial stem cells. The beta-galactosidase pattern of expression reveals that Kit^tm1Alf/Kit^Mhdasow3 mutant mice showed no pattern of spermatogenesis compared to Kit^tm1Alf/⁺.
