| Caption | Generation of floxed Sptlc2tm2.1Jia (Sptlc2-Flox) allele. A, strategy. A loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 1 and an frt flanked neo cassette with a 5' loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 1. Flp mediated recombination removed the neo cassette leaving exon 1 floxed. Cre-mediated recombination can be used to generate tissue-specific deletion.
