A, The transgenes ApoE::TA and TetON::Rgs16 were co-injected to obtain transgenic RGS16 tagged at the C terminus with a triple repeat of the Myc epitope (white box following mRgs16). The human ApoE promoter drives the Tet activator protein (TAS2s-M2) expression in liver. TAS2s-M2 binds TREs to induce expression of transgenic Rgs16-myc3 (TgR16) only in the presence of doxycycline. | ||||
