Generation of the Arhgef28^tm1Ddsr and Arhgef28^tm1.1Ddsr alleles. (B) Genetic targeting strategy to insert LoxP sites and a neomycin selectable marker (Neo) around Arhgef28 (Rgnef) exon 24 by homologous recombination generating the Arhgef28^tm1Ddsr (Rgnef^flox) allele. Primer binding sites used for PCR screening are indicated. The Arhgef28^tm1Ddsr/Arhgef28^tm1Ddsr (Rgnef^flox/flox) mice were crossed with transgenic (Tg) cytomegalorvirus-driven Cre (CMV-Cre) recombinase expressing mice to inactivate Arhgef28 expression during early development, creating the Arhgef28^tm1.1Ddsr (Rgnef^flox, Cre+) allele.
