Embryonic phenotype of Usb1^em1(IMPC)Bay/Usb1^em1(IMPC)Bay (Usb1-/-) embryos. All Usb1-/- embryos collected at E8.5 (n=8) displayed no overt phenotype. The majority of Usb1-/- embryos collected at E9.5 display no discernible phenotype and a minority are delayed and a minority have abnormal tail shape. By E10.5 almost all Usb1-/- embryos are delayed, most have abnormal blood deposition, many have abnormally shaped branchial arches and all have abnormal head shape, in particular the forebrain is abnormal. A minority of Usb1-/- mutants at E10.5 have abnormal tails and a minority display incomplete turning.
