By E9.5, all Tedc2^em1(IMPC)J/Tedc2^em1(IMPC)J Tedc2-/- embryos examined lack an appropriately patterned ventral neural tube as demonstrated by the absence of FoxA2 in the floorplate. This mutant embryo has also failed to close the cranial neural tube.
