Phenotype Image Detail
Image
Caption Stt3bem1(IMPC)J/Stt3bem1(IMPC)J (Stt3b-/-) embryonic phenotype. Stt3b-/- embryos are normal at E8.5. By E9.5 almost all Stt3b-/- embryos have completed turning, are often small but within the expected range and occasionally display cardiac or pericardial edema, but the majority remain otherwise indistinguishable from control littermates. By E10.5 many Stt3b-/- embryos are delayed and all display abnormal heart morphology that includes cardiac and/or pericardial edema, abnormal yolk sac morphology, abnormal head shape and abnormal branchial arches. All E11.5 Stt3b mutants recovered are dying or resorbing.
