By E9.5, the AlleleSymbol(MGI:6388376|0)/Chp1^em1(IMPC)Tcp (Chp1 -/-) embryos are all severely dysmorphic and smaller than littermates. All 3 of the Chp1 -/-embryos that were examined display normal neural tube patterning the presence of a gut tube and the presence of a heart tube, indicating the presence of all 3 germ layers. Of note, SMA staining is observed in the cardiac tissue of all 3 mutants.
