E10.5 Alg3^em1(IMPC)J/Alg3^em1(IMPC)J (-/-) embryos are smaller than control littermates and as revealed by the H&E staining the loose mesenchyme surrounding the neural tube, particularly in the anterior portion of the embryo appears less dense than the control littermates.
