(C-H) Sagittal brain sections from 7 month old Nestin-Cre control (C-E) or Nestin-Cre;ConKO/+ mutant mice (F-H) through the cerebral cortex (C,F), thalamus (D,G) and cerebellum (E,H) were stained with Hematoxylin and Eosin (upper panels) or fluorescently triple-labeled with antibodies (lower panels). White arrows in the fluorescent panels indicate blood vessels with closely juxtaposed astrocytes and/or microglial cells. The lower panels are higher magnification images of the boxed areas within the middle panels. Scale bars: 50 um.
