The GnRH-1 neurons (yellow dots) originating from the VNO are shown on their migratory route, indicated by purple dotted lines and arrows. The GnRH-1 neurons enter the brain (gray) at the level of the forebrain junction where a small number of cells migrate around the olfactory bulb while the majority of cells migrate to the pre-optic area of the hypothalamus.
