CCR5 is required for hepatic fibrogenesis. Ccr5^tm1Kuz/Ccr5^tm1Kuz (CCR5-deficient) and wild-type littermates underwent bile duct ligation (BDL) (n = 5 per group) or sham operation (n = 2 per group) for 5 or 21 days. (E) Macrophage infiltration was determined by immunohistochemistry for F4/80.
