Caption Contiguous sections of gonads collected from mice at various days during embryonic development (E10.5-E15.5) were analyzed by radioisotopic in situ hybridization. A,B: Low-magnification darkfield (A) and companion high-magnification brightfield (B) images were made after hybridization. Labels are indicated in the images for adrenal (ad), epithelium (epi), germline cyst (GLC), interstitium (int), intestine (i), ovary (ov), pancreas (p), pre-Sertoli cell (pSer), primordial germ cell (PGC), somatic cell (som), testicular cords (tc) and urogenital ridge (ur). Scale bars = 200 um in A, 40 um in B.
