Caption Whole-mount in situ hybridization and vibratome sections of prospective thoracic somites of embryonic day (E) 10.5 wild-type (Wt) and Ror2-/- embryos with size markers referring to the size of the somite in the mutant. (B) Arrow indicates epithelialization defects. The size markers in E and F show that the size of the somites is markedly reduced in the mutant. H: Arrow indicates improper positioning of epithelial somitic boundaries. I,J: The size markers indicate smaller somites in the mutant. L: The posterior portion is reduced in the mutant, and these segments are tilted (arrow in L).
