RNA in situ hybridization of sections of brain at E12.5 at fore- (A-L: horizontally cut with respect to bent longitudinal axis) and midbrain (M: transversely cut) levels. A wholemount medial view of expression domains at E11.5 is shown in Figure 2. Arrowhead in (J,K) points to spear-shaped expression domain. Note that the hypothalamus is ruptured ventrally and artificially displaced laterally.
