Caption Image(s) contributed directly to GXD by the GUDMAP database. Zoom capability for the image(s) can be accessed via the GUDMAP link at the bottom of this page. GUDMAP provided the following information: 1819_EK1_100808.jpg - Metanephros; 1819_EK1a_100808.jpg - Nephrogenic zone and cortex- weak expression detected in nephrogenic interstitium and stronger expression in cortical interstitium. Expression also detected in glomerular mesangium of maturing renal corpuscle; 1819_EK1b_100808.jpg - Medulla - expression detected in medullary interstitium. Absent from medullary collecting duct; 1819_EK1c_100808.jpg - Pelvis - strong expression detected in pelvic smooth muscle and perihilar interstitium; 1819_EK2_100808.jpg - Metanephros; 1819_EK2a_100808.jpg - Nephrogenic zone and cortex - expression in cortical interstitium, glomerular mesangium of the maturing renal corpuscle and renal cortical arterial system; 1819_EK3_100808.jpg - Metanephros; 1819_EK3c_100808.jpg - Pelvis and ureter - expression detected in pelvic smooth muscle, perihilar interstitium, ureteral smooth muscle layer and outer layer of the ureteral mesenchyme. Also detected in cortical arterial system, renal artery and renal vein.
