A section through the forelimb bud in C (D) shows expression is restricted to the ectoderm. The plane of the section is shown in lower case (C). A higher magnification image of an otic vesicle (ov) at 9 dpc (E) shows dorsal epithelial staining masked by the non-specific signal in A. Expression in central neural pregenitors occurs throughout the neural tube (I). The approximate plane of sections G, H, and I is shown with lower case letters (A). Whole-mount in situ hybridization of 10 and 11 dpc mouse embryos (J and Q) shows LRRTM1 expression persists during development. Expression is present in the forebrain and midbrain (K) with a sharp boundary present in the midbrain (arrowhead). A higher magnification of an otic vesicle at 10 dpc (L) shows staining in the endolymphatic appendage masked by the non-specific signal in J (asterisk). A transverse section through the otic vesicle (M) shows expression in the epithelium of the endolymphatic appendage. Expression in the limb bud (J, N, Q) restricts to the apical ectodermal ridge (aer). Expression is present in central neural progenitors (arrows in O and P) throughout the neural tube (nt). The approximate plane of sections O and P is shown with lower case letters (J).
