5 micron sagittal sections. The blue nuclear staining is bis-benzamide and is used to show the tissue morphology. Slides were oriented with the anterior of the mouse head at the left and dorsal at the top. In the line drawings below the figures, labels are directly over the described region, with the exception of "inter.lobe" and "INF", which are offset and shaded the same color as the described regions. INF, infundibulum; inter.lobe, intermediate lobe.
