C shows a higher magnification image of the boxed region in A showing expression in hindgut (g), urogenital sinus (u), and a small region of tailbud (tb). Note that staining does not extend to the posterior extent of the hindgut (see arrow). D shows a higher magnification image of a medial serial section showing relatively uniform expression in the caudal extent of the spinal cord (sc), and the higher levels of expression found in the ventral gray horn in the rostral expression domain in the spinal cord. The arrow shows the point at which the expression becomes ventrally restricted. E, higher magnification of the boxed area of the lateral serial section shown in B showing high expression in the tailbud (tb) and the caudal region of the spinal cord (sc).
