Note: Emx2 and Otx2 heterozygotes were maintained by crosses with CBA mice. Single Emx2 and Otx2 heterozygotes (from F3 and F5 generations, respectively) were mated to generate double heterozygotes, which were subsequently mated to generate the double mutants.
