• mice develop a viral burden with a nearly 65-fold increase in presence of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid RNA in the lungs and a slight increase in SARS-CoV-2 viral burden at 48 hours post-infection, however no increase in SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein is seen in lung tissues 7 days post-infection

• an increase in total CD45+ lymphocytes in the lungs are seen 48 hours after SARS-CoV-2 infection, however no significant inflammation-induced pathology in the lungs is seen, most likely due to the defective innate and humoral immune response systems in the NSG background
