abnormal hippocampal mossy fiber morphology ( J:160509 )

• the suprapyramidal bundle is thicker and the infrapyramidal bundle is longer than in Sema6b^tm1Hfu homozygotes

• more mossy fibers aberrantly spread into the stratum radiatum and stratum oriens compared to in Sema6b^tm1Hfu homozygotes

• however, mossy fiber spread into the stratum lacunosum-moleculare is normal

• mossy fibers invade the inner molecular layer of the dentate gyrus unlike in wild-type mice
