behavior/neurological
• reduced latency to step down in a step-down inhibitory avoidance test at both1.5 h and 24 h after training
• however, Y-maze results indicate no defect in working memory
• immobility times and frequency of immobility are reduced in a forced swim test compared to controls
• in a sucrose preference test mice show a reduction in sucrose preference on day three unlike controls that show an increased sucrose preference at this time
• spend more time in the light side in a light/dark test
• however, no difference in time spent in open arms or number of entries in the open arm in an elevated plus maze
• spend more time in the center of an open field compared to controls
• significant improvement in motor performance (longer latency to fall) on the 3rd day of an accelerating rotarod assay compared to wild-type controls that reach a plateau in performance by day 3
• however, no difference in the motor learning index is detected
• increase in total distance traveled in an open field
• increased number of transitions in a light dark chamber assay and increase in total number of arm entrances in a Y-maze and in an elevated plus-maze
• in a marble-burying test bury significantly more marbles compared to controls
• treatment with fluoxetine restores marble burying behavior to levels similar to wild-type

nervous system
• decrease in total branch length and total sum interactions in the prefrontal cortex
• in the hippocampus but not the prefrontal cortex there is a decreased cell body length to total cell ratio, increased total branch length, and increased total sum interactions
• no alterations in microglia are seen in the striatum

homeostasis/metabolism
• decreased TNF concentration in the hippocampus but increased in the prefrontal cortex

cellular
• decrease in total branch length and total sum interactions in the prefrontal cortex
• in the hippocampus but not the prefrontal cortex there is a decreased cell body length to total cell ratio, increased total branch length, and increased total sum interactions
• no alterations in microglia are seen in the striatum

hematopoietic system
• decrease in total branch length and total sum interactions in the prefrontal cortex
• in the hippocampus but not the prefrontal cortex there is a decreased cell body length to total cell ratio, increased total branch length, and increased total sum interactions
