nervous system
• after infection with Adenovirus 5 (Ad5) expressing a Cre-GFP, dorsal root ganglia (DRG) neurons transduced for 96 h in culture show impaired axonal retrograde transport of acidic organelles, including lysosomes, late endosomes and autophagosomes, both in terms of velocity of individual carriers and the overall fraction of moving carriers

N normal phenotype
behavior/neurological
• adult mice show an abnormal clenched hind-limb phenotype when suspended by the tail
• adult mice exhibit impaired proprioception
• adult mice are unable to balance themselves on an accelerating rotarod
• adult mice show an uncoordinated walking pattern with abdomen posture close to the ground and display an abnormal walking pattern in the catwalk
• adult mice exhibit reduced speed and less distance traveled than wild type controls in the open field
• however, basal motor activity is normal

nervous system
N
• mice show no significant alterations in neuromuscular junction size or numbers and in total (Tuj1 positive) or nociceptive (CGRP positive) skin innervation
• the number of proprioceptive NFH-positive neurons in DRG ganglia is significantly decreased
• however, the number of CGRP-positive nociceptive neurons is normal
