mortality/aging
• a small subset of mice over 1 year of age become moribund

hematopoietic system
• bone marrow cells show significant disadvantage in competitive transplantation and/or homing
• seen in a small subset of mice over 1 year of age
• dysplastic hypersegmented neutrophils following bone marrow transplantation to lethally radiate syngenic recipient mice
• a small subset of mice over 1 year of age display cytopenia

• decrease in lymphocyte numbers at 6 months post transplantation when bone marrow is transferred to lethally radiate syngenic recipient mice
• decrease in monocyte numbers at 6 months post transplantation when bone marrow is transferred to lethally radiate syngenic recipient mice
• LSK cells form ~50% more CFU-G colonies
