Find Mice Using the International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR)
Mouse lines carrying:
Fosbtm1.1Yun mutation (1 available); any Fosb mutation (22 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
behavior/neurological
• open field exploratory behavior is greater than controls at day 1
• although exploratory behavior declines by day 2, it remains greater than in controls
• stayed significantly longer in the open arms of an elevated maze than do controls
• significantly greater locomotor activity than controls or heterozygotes when housed alone for three days
• greater hyperlocomotion in the active phase of the circadian cycle than seen in other genotypes
• transient hyperlocomotion induced by methylphenidate (MPH)
