Altered lens and corneal development inTg(Pax6-HRAS*G12V)2044Ove/0 mice

vision/eye
• in the central cornea at E18.5
• in the central cornea at E18.5
• extra cells extending into the interior of the lens pit are seen at E10.5
• at E11.5, lenses and corneas display epithelial hyperplasia
• increase in proliferation of lens and corneal epithelial cells at E11.5 and E13.5
• expression analysis indicates abnormal differentiation of the cornea
• extra cells seen in the lens pit are internalized within the lumen of the lens at E11.5
• at E16.5 the lens epithelial show an elongated rather than cuboidal morphology
• expression analysis indicates abnormal differentiation of the lens
• at E13.5 the lens is embedded in the cornea
• at E16.5 the lens remains attached to the cornea
• at E18.5
• remain open at E16.5
