• at E12.5, ventral forebrain and spinal cord vessels end in disorganized vascular structures or glomeruloid tufts unlike in wild-type mice
• abnormal vessels exhibit abnormal basement membrane deposition and smooth muscle cell association compared to in wild-type mice
• however, mice exhibit normal lung vasculature and perineural vascular plexus
• at E9 to E10, ventral forebrain is almost entirely avascular unlike in wild-type mice
• at E12.5, ventral forebrain vessels end in disorganized vascular structures or glomeruloid tufts unlike in wild-type mice
• at E15.5, dorsal forebrain vasculature remains sparse with abnormal tufted vessels unlike in wild-type mice
• at E15.5, the hypothalamus contains enlarged vessels at reduced density compared to in wild-type mice
