• mice exhibit an increase in multinucleated giant cell with abundant vacuolar spaces compared to in wild-type mice
• the number of seminiferous tubules containing cell corpses is increased compared to in wild-type mice
• fewer Sertoli cells contain internalization of apoptotic germ cells than in wild-type mice
• however, the number of Sertoli cells is normal
• Sertoli cells exhibit impaired engulfment of negatively charged 2.1 um carboxylate-modified beads and germ cells compared with wild-type mice

endocrine/exocrine glands
• mice exhibit an increase in multinucleated giant cell with abundant vacuolar spaces compared to in wild-type mice
