• marked decrease in the rhythmicity of spinal cord locomotor like outputs and increase in the variance of flexor related bursts between the left and right halves in the presence of allatostatin

• after application of allatostatin to the L2 - L4 segments 5 of 8 mice showed profound changes in their gate with changes in the timing and duration of both the stance and swing phases of the gait
• however, in the absence of treatment no gait abnormalities were seen
