• despite reduced B cell numbers, class switching, NP-specific production of IgG1, IgG2a and IgG3, B cell proliferation, memory B cells and plasma B cells following stimulation are normal following immunization
• splenic B cell numbers are minimally reduced compared to in wild-type mice
• 8 days following immunization, PNA+ germinal center number and size are reduced compared to in wild-type or heterozygous mice
• however, stimulated germinal B cell proliferation is normal
• at 4 and 8 days after immunization germinal center B cell numbers are 3- to 5-fold lower tan in wild-type or heterozygous mice
