• severe concentric left and right ventricular hypertrophy that progressed variably to cardiac dilatation accompanied by heart failure
• at time of death
• 5+/-1mmHg compared to 2+/-0.3mmHg in wild-type mice
• impaired diastolic relaxation with no change in systolic blood pressure
• some mice experience heart failure
