• after Schaffer collateral stimulation in CA1 hippocampal slices which caused a sustained increased in amplitude of field EPSP, magnitude of LTP is lower (136% of baseline) than in wild-type (169% of baseline)
• ivermectin treatment increases LTP in hippocampal slices from wild-type mice, but has no effect in mutant slices
