cardiovascular system
• in response to transverse aortic constriction, cardiomyocytes are reduced in size, possibly as a result of a reduction in sustained Akt1 phosphorylation
• in response to transverse aortic constriction, mutants exhibit a reduced left ventricular response as evidenced by decreased left ventricular wall thickening

immune system
• in response to induced peritonitis, macrophage recruitment is reduced. Kinase activity is required for G protein-coupled receptor mediated Akt1 activation and chemotactic response
• in response to induced peritonitis, neutrophil recruitment is reduced

hematopoietic system
• in response to induced peritonitis, macrophage recruitment is reduced. Kinase activity is required for G protein-coupled receptor mediated Akt1 activation and chemotactic response
• in response to induced peritonitis, neutrophil recruitment is reduced
• adenosine 5'-diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation is impaired unlike in similarly treated wild-type cells
• when treated with U46619, platelet aggregation is impaired 30% compared to in similarly treated wild-type cells
• convulxin-induced aggregation is slightly reduced compared to in similarly treated wild-type cells
• however, platelet adhesion and spreading are normal

muscle
• in response to transverse aortic constriction, cardiomyocytes are reduced in size, possibly as a result of a reduction in sustained Akt1 phosphorylation

homeostasis/metabolism
• adenosine 5'-diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet aggregation is impaired unlike in similarly treated wild-type cells
• when treated with U46619, platelet aggregation is impaired 30% compared to in similarly treated wild-type cells
• convulxin-induced aggregation is slightly reduced compared to in similarly treated wild-type cells
• however, platelet adhesion and spreading are normal

cellular
• in response to induced peritonitis, macrophage recruitment is reduced. Kinase activity is required for G protein-coupled receptor mediated Akt1 activation and chemotactic response
