• Mutation details: CRISPR/Cas9 technology deleted the first exon and a 4.8 kb portion of the gene promoter, leaving exons 2/3 and the miRNA stem-loops intact. RT-qPCR confirmed the deletion in homozygous aortas at the RNA level. Using isoform-specific primers, downstream of the deletion site, the knockdown of both 201 and 202 transcripts was confirmed. miR-143 and miR-145 are downregulated. (J:363125)
